HILL COUNTRY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB EMAIL REFLECTOR

To HCARC Members-

I'm pleased to announce that the Hill Country Amateur Radio Club Reflector is now up and running, and available for use by the membership. This could not have been accomplished without the help of George K5TR, and the original BETA testers - AC4CA, KM4DR, W4WJ. N5RJM, N9NM, N9OF, K5EWS, and K3NXF.

The reflector will allow subscribers to communicate with all other subscribers to the reflector with just one email. Recipients of reflector email will be able to reply, if desired, to the sender only, the entire reflector only, or both sender and the entire reflector.

Subscribers may choose to receive their reflector email in detail as each one is distributed, or in the form of digests over varying periods of time.

It is important to note that attachments such as pictures, word processing documents, and spreadsheets, etc.,, cannot be forwarded via the reflector.  Imbedding Internet links in a message, however, is permissible.

It is recommended that subscribers use "Plain Text" message format as opposed to HTML and Rich Text format.

You can subscribe to the reflector by using the following link and the instructions provided through the link:

The reflector is moderated, so your request for subscription will be subject to approval. I'll respond to these requests as quickly as possible based on my availability. In the future I hope to be able to get a volunteer to serve as another moderator to help with this function.

And of course, please let me know if you have any questions.

We hope that the reflector will be useful to you in staying in communications with other club members, and have an easier way to stay up to date with club activities.
